The first time you get to enroll into Medicare it is called your Medicare Initial Enrollment Period (IEP). Your Initial Enrollment Period last for a span of 7 months. You can enroll:

1. 3 months before you turn age 65.

2. The month you turn age 65.

3. 3 months after the month you turn age 65.
